Auggies' Seattle Visit

HURRAY! I now have the blog log on info so I can document Auggie's trip to rainy Seattle.

Auggie arrived safely tucked in his bubble wrap envelope, but Annika was napping, so she wasn't there for his unwrapping. It didn't take long, though, for Annika to wake up and want to show Auggie all of the splendor that is the Olson home.

A few days after Auggie's arrival, Annika decided to show him how to splash in puddles...

After playing hide and seek (we found Auggie next to the bath tub .... that duck can't swim upright, by the way!), we went out and about to do some errands.

Shopping for Daddy's birthday present...

After a fun week of splashing, watching Elmo and The Wiggles DVDs, doing errands, going for walks, and generally hanging out in Seattle, it was time for Auggie to head off for his next adventure.

In the car to the post office to send Auggie to his next home...

Bye, bye, Auggie! Thanks for visiting.

Getting Auggie ready to mail. A kiss goodbye.
Auggie getting in his yellow sleeping bag.
Ready to mail onto our next friend. Where will I go next? Will it still be cold? Or will it be warm?

School again

On Monday night, I went to school again with Michael. We were able to go to the gym and play. It was alot of fun!!! Here we are playing on the mat.
Here we are under the playhouse/slide. We thought about crawling through the tunnel but we didn't.
We went back to the classroom and sang a few songs. Then we got to play with the parachute. The teacher let me go in the middle for a ride. That was lots of fun. I was bouncing all over and I got very dizzy. You can't see me under the parachute but I'm there!!! You can see a little bit of my wing.

After we played with the parachute, we washed our hands (and wings) for snack. Here are Michael and I waiting to wash our hands.
Here we are waiting for the teacher to give us snack. Juice and bug crackers. YUMMY!!!! I love bugs.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

On Thursday, it started snowing. It wasn't too bad to begin with but then it starting coming down faster and the flakes were HUGE at some points. I sat in the window and watched it snow for awhile.
I even got to go out and help shovel the snow!!!!

Due to the snow on Thursday, Michael's big brothers came home early from school. So we got to play outside again after we shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. That's alot of work, shoveling all that snow. I was ready for bed that night. We let the snow plows do the rest of the work. The rest of the week was pretty laid back.

RELAXING DAY

Here I am inside playing with some of the toys. We built with blocks and played with tons of Little People.
I decided to take a break and sun myself with Liquorish.

PLAYING OUTSIDE

On Wednesday, Michael and I went outside to play in the snow. Wow was it cold. Here we are playing in the snowbank.
"It's ok Auggie. I know it's cold."

"Here, I'll brush you off."

"Mom, I think Auggie's cold and wants to go inside."

After playing outside for a bit, we did go in. I don't know how you can stand living in all the cold.

ARRIVED IN MINNESOTA

I arrived at Michael's house in Minnesota on Monday afternoon. It's as cold here as it was at Makayla's house. Michael was very excited to see me and kept saying "duckie" over and over again.

Here is Michael taking me out of my sleeping bag.

Liquorish, Michael's puppy, wanted to help him and see me too.
Mom, it's Auggie!!!

Big Kisses to Auggie!

After some supper of pizza, we got ready to go to school. Here we are in the car.

Michael showed me around his classroom. Here we are playing on the slide.

Here we are putting a puzzle together.

Michael's teacher let me ride in this cool truck and I got to drive!!
After school we went home and got ready for bed. I was very tired after my long trip in my sleeping bag and all the fun at school.

I have arrived in Barrie, Ontario....It's cold here!!

I am back in Canada! I arrived at Makayla's house late on Jan. 26th. It was nice to finally arrive and get some time to relax, travelling makes me tired. On tuesday, Makayla's mommy took me to work with her. We had to get up really early but it was fun since I got to ride on the bus too! Here I am ready to go to work!

When we got to the office, I thought that I would try and see if I could talk on the phone just like Mak's mommy does but the head set didn't fit me! :( So, I just watched! I can't believe that she talks on the phone all day long.

On Wednesday (Jan. 28th) we had to take Mak's big sister to see the doctor, she is really sick!! I hope that I don't get it too. But it was a good thing that I went along, I kept Mak company and entertained while we waited.

So, far the rest of this week has been quiet. Hannah is still sick but is starting to feel better. Yesterday Mak's mommy did laundry all day. I have gotten to spend lots of time with Makayla, we are having a great time together. Here is a picture of us having a snack!

I should have more to post before the weekend is over. I heard Mak's mommy talking about a party tomorrow night. I don't think there is going to be many kids but it should be lots of fun!

Movin' On!

Here are some pictures of Auggie's last day with us.

"Hey, Auggie! Want to go for a ride on my cool red car?"

"Ok, hold on tight!"

"Wait! This may be more fun...."

And this is Cory, right after he threw Auggie across the room. Apparently we need to work on playing nicely. :)

Auggie has safely been sent to his next host. He's probably glad to be gone...we weren't very entertaining for him.

Where will he end up next?!?!?! :)

Made it to Ohio!

Auggie made it here to Ohio a few days ago. Unfortunately, he's had a rather boring time so far.

Like Keri warned about, he keeps hiding and is very tough to find! He can sqeeze his rubbery self into some pretty tight spaces!

Here are some pics:

Opening the package.

Hello, Auggie! Welcome to Cory's house!

Giving Auggie a welcoming kiss.

This is Cory showing Auggie one of his favorite games...pulling all of the DVDs off the shelf.

Auggie will be with us for one last day before heading to his next destination. Hopefully tomorrow is a little more adventurous than his visit so far.

a Week In Wisconsin!

Auggie arrived on the 20th. Just in time to go to grandpas birthday party.
On the 21st Auggie sat and watched us wrap presents
On the 22nd Auggie saw alot of snow fall with some ice then he knew he we not goin on any new adventures because we were stuck here.
On the 23rd Auggie went to wal-mart for some last minute shopping and also went to Cabella's. He loved seeing all the animals and watching all the men boast about all the "big" ones they got & missed.
On the 24th we had a Christmas Eve party. At our house all of us swop names & the rule is that the gift much be something to help get by until santa comes or a personal gift that you know they will love & cherish. He was excited to play Nintendo DS with Dess. She got Build a Bear workshop.
On the 25th he saw all the presents under the tree & was excited. He helped open everything.
On the 26th he get mailed to his next destination. He liked Wisconsin really well overall, but Christmas was such a busy week he didn't get to do alot. The snow & Cabellas was the best!!
