Auggies' Seattle Visit

HURRAY! I now have the blog log on info so I can document Auggie's trip to rainy Seattle.

Auggie arrived safely tucked in his bubble wrap envelope, but Annika was napping, so she wasn't there for his unwrapping. It didn't take long, though, for Annika to wake up and want to show Auggie all of the splendor that is the Olson home.

A few days after Auggie's arrival, Annika decided to show him how to splash in puddles...

After playing hide and seek (we found Auggie next to the bath tub .... that duck can't swim upright, by the way!), we went out and about to do some errands.

Shopping for Daddy's birthday present...

After a fun week of splashing, watching Elmo and The Wiggles DVDs, doing errands, going for walks, and generally hanging out in Seattle, it was time for Auggie to head off for his next adventure.

In the car to the post office to send Auggie to his next home...

Bye, bye, Auggie! Thanks for visiting.

Auggie's Last Day with Michael

Getting Auggie ready to mail. A kiss goodbye.
Auggie getting in his yellow sleeping bag.
Ready to mail onto our next friend. Where will I go next? Will it still be cold? Or will it be warm?

School again

On Monday night, I went to school again with Michael. We were able to go to the gym and play. It was alot of fun!!! Here we are playing on the mat.
Here we are under the playhouse/slide. We thought about crawling through the tunnel but we didn't.
We went back to the classroom and sang a few songs. Then we got to play with the parachute. The teacher let me go in the middle for a ride. That was lots of fun. I was bouncing all over and I got very dizzy. You can't see me under the parachute but I'm there!!! You can see a little bit of my wing.

After we played with the parachute, we washed our hands (and wings) for snack. Here are Michael and I waiting to wash our hands.
Here we are waiting for the teacher to give us snack. Juice and bug crackers. YUMMY!!!! I love bugs.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

On Thursday, it started snowing. It wasn't too bad to begin with but then it starting coming down faster and the flakes were HUGE at some points. I sat in the window and watched it snow for awhile.
I even got to go out and help shovel the snow!!!!

Due to the snow on Thursday, Michael's big brothers came home early from school. So we got to play outside again after we shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. That's alot of work, shoveling all that snow. I was ready for bed that night. We let the snow plows do the rest of the work. The rest of the week was pretty laid back.

RELAXING DAY

Here I am inside playing with some of the toys. We built with blocks and played with tons of Little People.
I decided to take a break and sun myself with Liquorish.

PLAYING OUTSIDE

On Wednesday, Michael and I went outside to play in the snow. Wow was it cold. Here we are playing in the snowbank.
"It's ok Auggie. I know it's cold."

"Here, I'll brush you off."

"Mom, I think Auggie's cold and wants to go inside."

After playing outside for a bit, we did go in. I don't know how you can stand living in all the cold.
